Salla Laurinolli Väritettyä pimeyttä

Salla Laurinolli
Colored darkness – repeat
4.3.-28.3.2023

“It’s between day and night
A true once-in-a-lifetime event.
Three times write it in its form;
However, also unspeakable as it is now,
It must remain innocent.”

Friedrich Hölderlin (1770-1843)
Finnish Johan L. Pii

“My painting work is based on slow movement, mainly walking on different terrains. My way of working is independent of others and the terrain, I observe the same, my experiences of seeing are similar to each other. I am interested in details and build images with nature as my tool.

The exhibition mainly consists of new tempera and oil paintings, but thematically I continue the previously exhibited colored darkness. The starting points of the works are the details of soiling, rotting and drying, which I try to distance myself from by painting. I am attracted by the idea of releasing the perception that served as a starting point, of painting the perception invisible.”

The exhibition has been supported by the Häme Cultural Fund.
