Taidehalli Häme & Artoteque

Location
The gallery Taidehalli Häme, maintained by Ars-Häme ry, and the Taidelainaamo operating in connection with it are located at Hallituskatu 14, 13100 Hämeenlinna.

Arrival and public transport
You can arrive in Hämeenlinna by train and bus. The gallery is about a 300-meter walk from the bus station and about a 1.2-kilometer walk from the train station. Public transport runs within Hämeenlinna. The closest public transport stops to the gallery are located on the edge of Hämeenlinna market.

Entrances
The gallery’s main building is a blue office building, located on the corner of Hallituskatu and Linnankatu. The sidewalk section is tiled and there are non-grooved sidewalk edges along it. The building is not accessible. The most accessible entrance is located on the Linnankatu side, where there is one approx. 4 cm threshold and two approx. 5 cm thresholds. To cross the thresholds, if necessary, you can ask the exhibition staff for help: 045 129 0447 or taidehallihame@gmail.com. The Hallituskatu side entrance has one step outside and three steps inside.

WC
The toilet space open to the public is located along the corridor leading to the art loan office, closer to the Linnankatu entrance. The toilet is not accessible. The toilet door has a threshold of approx. 5 cm.

Parking
Parking in the core of the city of Hämeenlinna is mainly paid for along the street and in parking areas. There are also free time-limited parking spaces in the downtown area. There is no accessible parking near the gallery’s main building.

Entrance
Entry to exhibitions is free for everyone. Personal assistants and assistance and guide dogs are welcome in the gallery.

Location of the artworks
All the works in the gallery are on one floor. The art gallery’s works are also on the same floor, and the doorway leading there is 82 centimeters wide.

Induction loop
In the main building of the gallery, there is no induction loop in use.

Clothes storage
The coat rack is located in the hallway of the Hallituskatu side entrance. It is also possible to leave clothes in the back room during the exhibition visit.

Strollers and nursery room
It is possible to come to the gallery with prams, but there is no childcare room.

Resting places
The interior of the gallery has levels where you can sit and rest during the visit. It is also possible to have chairs available.

There are no thresholds in the premises and the doors between the different rooms are 82 centimeters wide.
