My exhibition features line etchings and three-dimensional works made of paper and cardboard. I named my exhibition in German because one of my sources of inspiration has been the puppet theater museum in Berlin. My interest in tunnel books, stage constructions and dioramas got a new side plot last spring when I started making art graphics with marionettes and hand puppets as my subject.
I’m interested in presenting things. Staging, illusions, artificiality and authenticity are themes that fascinate my mind. The works in the exhibition do not represent real places, people or things, although they may contain references to them. My works are pictorial play and immersion in the moment of making.
