Macondo is a fictional village in the middle of the jungle. It is built and lived there by one family for many generations. In the everyday life of the village, all present and past members of the family, living and dead, are present, in perfect harmony.
In addition to physical features, many character traits, beliefs, habits and thought patterns are passed down from one generation to another. The bad deeds of fathers and mothers reverberate in the third and fourth generations, but beauty and goodness also affect the generations to come. Some traits repeat themselves in every generation, while others disappear only to reappear after many generations.
Everyday life and miracles merge into a rich weave in the life of the village. The members of the family show human fragility and sensitivity, even partial rudeness. At the same time, however, they also have strength and determination.
The works use mezzotint, line etching, woodcut and beeswax collage.
