In 1953, the first quantum fairy solved the mystery that made it possible to travel through the keyholes of the gates between realities. On the way from one reality to another, faster than light, the quantum fairy met a neurognome. Together they built a reality where everything is as it was before. However, in a completely different way.

“In my new paintings, I have tried to break my old habits and look for something new. Through several dead ends, I ended up in a place that was unfamiliar. However, no matter what I do, my paintings look like I painted them. The paint takes me where it lies.”

East Helsinki-based visual artist Matti Närekangas (b.1983) has been actively working in visual arts since 2017. Närekangas is studying master’s studies in the painting department at the Academy of Fine Arts. Taidehalli in Häme is displaying Närekanga’s latest oil paintings.
